This macro automates assigning colors to Parts and Sub-Assemblies from within an Assembly. Not really much difference between the SW 2007 and 2010 x32 versions. With the 2007 version you should be able to just change the Reference Libraries to your current version of SolidWorks. The 2010 x32 version does use a new method (I’m not sure when it was introduced) that makes it not backward compatible. |

Get Configuration Names

This teeny macro will take the configuration names of the active document and will write them to a text file (ConfigNames.txt) in c:\temp. There will be one row per configuration name. You can edit the macro if you would like to have the files saved somewhere else on your computer. Please note that this will get overwritten each time you run the macro. Very useful if you want to take the list of configuration names and use them for a drop-down list in DriveWorks. |
