The X4 looks like a conventional rack and pinion actuator but it drives its shaft incrementally in unidirectional steps to hard stops. The steps are accurate within +/- 0.2 degree,and error does not accumulate. The X4 is our largest single rack indexing actuator,delivering almost 3.5 inch-pounds of torque per psi of working pressure.
